EY recruiter pinged me for a manager role, but I feel like I am a bit too senior for it. I had a call with the hiring manager and they said it's common to bring people in at that level then promote them in a year. TC is actually better than my current one, but the title downgrade gives me a bad itch. Recruiter pinged because of my heavy experience in the financial services industry and looks like EY is looking to expand in that space. Is leveling down common?
Don't be so naive stranger. The promotion in a year is just a carrot to get you in. No way are you building a strong enough network amd body of work to get promoted in a year. But if the money is more why care about title?
TC and YOE?

Do people underestimate E6 role at meta?
Very common in consulting. Also, you won't get promoted in a year. That is BS
Why do you say that when the HM said that?
EY has time-in-role requirements and also the industry as a whole doesn't usually promote within less than a year.
