Magic Leap offer help

Hi Blind buddies, I have 5-6 YOE. I received an offered from ML for Senior Software Engineer: Base:165k Sign on : 10k RSU:110k(vested over 4 years). Is this a good deal? my current TC at Microsoft is: Base:175k Annual bonus: 30% RSU:100k(vested over 4 years) The pros for ML is that I get to work from home and I work on some cool tech. #magicleap #microsoft

I would take it, it seems pretty solid in the current market.

Not sure how many years of experience you have, but you seem underpaid to me. Your base should be low 200s IMO

If you are not in any danger in Microsoft, and if WFH is not absolutely essential, stay there. You should move when you get a better offer with meaningful work. Why? MSFT is a more stable company, offers better WLB and is a better "brand" which makes you more attractive in the job market.

I was laid off from MSFT few months ago, I was able to find another role before the clock ran out.

How do you value the RSU at 110k?

Microsoft Ypmm16 OP Dec 7, 2022

The recruiter gave me a number ~$19 per share

Best case for MSFT stock, in my view, is that it hovers between 270 to 300. Worst case: 150 - 180. We can construct detailed scenarios but the range of value is likely to be 75k to 120k as they vest (not present value). Do not forget the refreshers, though.

Funny they offer you more RSUs than senior employees who got screwed after the Recapitalization.
