ADAS Role offer
Hi all, I'm new to this forum but would like your input, my details are as follows TC: 140k/year YOE: 8 I have interviewed/ interviewing with #Canoo, #Rivian and #Argo AI. Roles are different but all in ADAS domain. I'm contemplating the following offer vs further negotiation Canoo (edited) Base: $165k RSU: $100k/4 years TC: $190k/ year Negotiating sign on bonus currently Rivian Pending offer but min. base pay I suggested was $160k TC: pending Argo AI Pending final interview / offer Same base pay requested as above TC: pending Even though I like my current job, pay vs job progression seems to have slowed down so looking for a change. I would like your feedback of what kind of compensation should I negotiate for SE Michigan and any experience you could share
Is Camoo hiring in Michigan or is it a remote role?
Not really, I'm negotiating hybrid but they indicated that moving to OK maybe in the future
I thought Canoo was in California. Are they really in Oklahoma?
Argo should beat canoo base, possibly significantly if you get a high enough level. RSUs are subjective but will be significantly more

There's not much info on levels fyi for Detroit. Can you shed some light on Detroit comp at Argo?
Personally I think Rivian has the highest likelihood of succeeding. Get a good base and go with Rivian
One thing to consider is that for Rivian I think all their dev is on the west coast, I don’t think going from 140k in the east coast to 160k on the west coast is an upgrade, but something to consider, Argo should be able to beat that, how is WLB at Bosch?
Good point. WLB is OK, depends on your drive. Definitely for senior level roles putting in more effort is needed. You can choose to not do it but I feel it directly hurts your chances of progression. So I would call it decent but not great. What about at Argo AI.... I plan to have a kid in the next year so that's a consideration too.
Policy on parental leave is really good actually, but WLB is not the best, there is definitely a lot of work and the team seems to be growing a lot, so far I haven’t worked on weekends and I try to set limits but you can see some peers just grind nonstop

Argo isn't ADAS, it's L4 autonomy.
You are right but I consider it to be ADAS/AD so just generalized it but yes job at Argo is technically AD position
