Hey guys - Does AWS tech stack/credentials have any value at tech companies outside of pre-sales? —Addressing Annoying Blind Snarkiness— “Why AWS stack and not Azure/GCP?” Because aws has 49.2% market share as of 2022 “Just look online” No, it’s easier to ask here “WTF is stellantis” 7th largest auto company globaly (they make Jeep/Ram) “Are you asking if knowledge of tech stack is valuable or if credentials are” Fucking both dude etc.. Haters gonna hate.
WTF is pre-sales? Either way, AWS is currently the most desired cloud expertise in the tech market and has been for the last 5+ years.
Presales folks typically are customer facing engineers who are more well versed in specifics of tech/deployment around a product than sales people/AEs and build demos and help set up PoCs for potential customer use cases as part of the enterprise tech sales cycle.
Ah, ok. At Amazon I believe we call that job family “Solutions Architect”
Yes, knowing AWS services, how to securely architect deployments in AWS and deploy them with CloudFormation or Terraform are all very useful skills that readily transfer to/between many tech companies.
Thank you, appreciate the real feedback
