If u r senior in MSFT, u really should aim for staff engineer here. And if your current TC is already 275 in MSFT, this sounds like a low ball offer, not worth it imho.
Agree. Right now Coupang has the a serious title inflation and lowest bar. In Seattle, many teams hire 6+ years as Staff and giving 600k package. Ask for more imho.
Is the 600k for staff-1 or staff-2? Sounds crazy
L6-1. L6-2 is 800k+
600K is for staff 2 and staff 1 is around 500K

What I’ve learned is that Offers depend on your interview performance and level of skill - can’t expect a staff comp if you perform at senior and vice versa. Looking at others comp also won’t help, given that they all possess a different level of technique. Even if you have 10 YOE but perform at Senior? That isn’t a low ball offer, that simply is a result of your skills.
