Current TC 190k,YoE 1.5y Affirm offer: Base 160k Stock 190k 4 years and 90k first 2 years Signon 20k TC:160+190/4+90/2+20 = 272k #affirm
I don't know why, but I thought Affirm paid more than this. Top companies are pushing $300k+ nowadays for SDE2 excluding sign on
Affirm SDE 2 is not FANG SDE 2. Less scope, easier to get I'd guess half the people who get FANG SDE 2 offers would get Affirm SDE 3, which is up to 400
FANG SDE2 offer can be near 400k? I thought it’s near 300k, at least for Amazon
OP forgot to include 90 day trialing average advantage for new affirm hires. One would get shares value worth around ~$75 ish (current value is ~$140)
Yea, if the stock can be stable, it should be around 360k TC the first year… but…
You can do your own projection. At minimum you have about a 30 dollar buffer With 1.5 YOE. Other favors such as learnings , culture should play an important role in your decision.
Did you negotiate? I just got an SDE II offer from Affirm literally yesterday, but did not get a sign on bonus. Similar experience to you, though my current TC is way lower.
Hi, I didn’t negotiate and this is the initial offer, good luck with yours~
Thanks! Did you end up accepting?
