Amazon L6 Analytics Manager to LinkedIn M1
Looking at this possible move, will be increase in scope and direct reports + an opportunity to do something new. Unsure of the TC so far but have heard ~350K. Only reason I’m considering staying is strong support from manager and skip, with L7 on horizon over next 18 months. TC: ~240K ‘23, ~280K ‘24 #Amazon #linkedininterview

Isn’t this a lateral move with more compensation and chill work life balance? LinkedIn has no work besides political pandering which you should’ve learned at Amazon. Why the hesitation
L7 is not an easy promo at Amazon, no guarantee that it will get approved. Plus you don’t see full upside in terms of pay for a year or 2 after promo but consider that you will be starting that promo over at LinkedIn anyway (maybe within 2 year). So might as well make more money at LinkedIn with better wlb for next 2 years?

Even with stellar performance, it will take you 1.5 years at least to get promoted at LinkedIn. It's much easier to come in as Sr.Manager at LinkedIn.
