We are hiring for SDEs, SDMs, TPMs, Data Scientists, and Applied Scientists. Our Team strives to protect Amazon businesses exposed to bad actors while maintaining the highest level of customer experience. This means building sophisticated, data-centric systems that can detect patterns of interest across millions of transactions. We build highly scalable, flexible and distributed systems that utilize the power of data at every step. We compute predictive variables, build models using machine learning algorithms and plug into points of the customer journey to prevent suspicious transactions from taking place. As Amazon businesses grow and bad actors morph to find new ways to take undue advantage of our customer-centric policies, our engineers and data scientists are constantly innovating to stay ahead of bad actors to protect Amazon and our customers. What that means is we work hard to build the best software possible, and we do it BIG. Our solutions impact millions of customers every day (Amazon accounted for 41.4% of all U.S. e-commerce sales in 2021), and we do it by working smart and being in charge of our own destiny. Working at Amazon is unique in that we are each owners – not only do we ensure our solutions work, but we make sure they are efficient, cost effective, and the right fit for our customers. We both help design and create the product vision, and are constantly being challenged to think big. We’re co-located with our Machine Learning, Product, and (most) of our Data Science team in San Diego. While we have embraced working from home over the past few years, we still believe in the value of being in-person, and strive to build events and sprint rituals to draw the team into the office when it makes sense, letting our team members work at home when it does not. We encourage a strong work life balance, and coach our teams on how to build boundaries that ensure they have lives outside of work. We provide flexible working conditions, realizing that not everyone’s life can fit into a traditional work day. Finally, we encourage diverse ideas and viewpoints, working to build an environment where we constructively challenge ideas and norms, not individuals. If what we offer sounds like something you’d be interested in learning more about, please let me know and we can setup some time to chat or I can share the job links. @amazon #sde #tpm #sdm #datascientist #appliedscientists #careers #softwareengineeringcareers #amazon #tech #engineering #software #swe
whats the interview process for tpm/sde2? 2 YOE i’d only move for a short interview process. recruiter call, coding challenge and 4 rounds isnt worth it nowadays DM me if this is possible
Hey, I'm super interested. For the past couple of years, I've been working at the intersection of software engineering and data engineering. This role sounds like the logical progression of my current role. Should I DM?
Absolutely!
New grad roles available? If not how about 1 YOE as I’m entertaining offers but would be interested in the team/location in the future :) nice intro
New grad and less than 1 YOE experience in software engineering are typically covered by Student Programs in Amazon (would be a separate process, please check careers site). For all the direct hire purposes for SDEs, it would require 1+ YOE (not including internships) in software engineering. If you meet the requirement, feel free to DM me, happy to connect.
Interested. I am working on machine learning applications and managing data scientists and software devs. Can I DM you?
Yes, absolutely
are you also considering remote?
Not in my immediate teams, but within my org - yes, if you have sufficient experience, DM for details
