What are the details of the non compete agreement that amazon makes you sign? Says I cant go to a competitor for 18 months...is this for real?

Lol doesnt this mean half of the companies out there? Just to bane a few giants: Walmart, Google, Netflix, Apple, Dropbox, Spotify, Stripe?
