Amgen recruiter reached out for a L6 role and asking what my expected salary would be before scheduling a HM call. What is the base salary range for L6? Just trying not to lowball myself. What are the typical bonus/RSU for L6? I heard they shutdown 2 weeks in a year!! How is their PTO? Current TC $200K
L6 pay varies wildly between tech and non tech. If you're non -tech (program manager or finance), they typically pay $180k max (base + stocks), but that 's because people lowball themselves. Ask $210 and try to settle for $200k
Ask $210 and try to settle for $200k ---- base or TC?
TC.. assuming finance or program manager L6 non tech. If product non tech, multiply whatever I said by 1.2
Amgen != Amazon
Yes! But one of the best non-tech companies to work for based on my research!

Companies that pay as much as meta
Base ranges from ~150-190k roughly. 190 might be high. Target bonus is 15% for L6 and depending on rating and company performance can go from 15-30% at the far exceeds rating but 15% is safe. 10% 401k Match Stock is relatively low. I think L6 is in the $20-30k/yr range. Great PTO, 3 weeks + 17-18 company holidays including summer and winter shutdown. I’d probably ask for 175k base and go from there on negotiation
Thank you. This is very helpful.
