Anyone here work at viagogo/stubhub? Would you recommend it? Hows the comp like? Do you get regular raises/bonuses? Any impending layoffs after the viagogo acquisition?

Can i ask whats bad about it? Is it still bad post viagogo merger? Is there still risk of layoffs?
They've said no layoffs, but they've made most of the StubHub mobile team unnecessary because they want to build a hybrid app and the StubHub backend and frontend teams are screwed as well because they work in entirely different stacks. Once the migration period is over expect layoffs because a lot of people are completely redundant. As far as the viagogo goes they're pretty slimy, go ahead and read about them on Google. Their "PM"s are completely incompetent and way over their heads. They pretend they're open-minded and pretend to listen, but in actuality they'll go with whatever their opinion is from the beginning and cut off communication for weeks at a time while they finalize their own plans. They micromanage and flat out lie. The CTO is also completely incompetent and has no idea what he's doing. They've done a completely terrible job of merging these companies. They literally had over a year to prepare for merging and they had no plans: no documentation of services or code, no idea how to build camaraderie, no onboarding or idea how to handle knowledge transfer, also repos are a fucking mess. Literally had over a year to start thinking about these things and they've done nothing but make StubHub employees hope they fail and want to leave. Viagogo is just a weird weird company. they do things so awkwardly, for instance, all their services are Microsoft: teams, Outlook, azure, azure for ticketing, azure instead of GitHub, azure, azure, azure, kuzco, c#, .net, Windows laptops. Microsoft all the way down. I wouldn't be surprised if their toilet paper is Microsoft as well. If Microsoft doesn't provide it, they'll build it inhouse. Why? No idea. They probably think this gives them some sort of edge. Just think of the mindset it requires to make those decisions, is that a company you want to work for? They think they're the smartest people in the room with their AB tests and micro-improvements but they're completely fucking oblivious when it comes to running a company. They also recently hired a c suite who's a complete fucking sexist. Don't take my word for it, ask any StubHub LT and they'll tell you the same.
It's a nightmare. Culture is terrible. Disloyal management. Bad CEO outlook. Embarrassing benefits package. They laid off prior to covid and will probably do it again. Only work here if you're desperate and most of my colleagues are looking to change jobs.
@OP how has your experience been so far?
Honestly pretty great man. I really didnt enjoy my time at google at all. I didnt even like most of my coworkers on the team i switched to at google. At stubhub, the work is at least interesting and i have a ton of direct impact on the business. But most importantly, i actually really like my coworkers.
What is the comp like ? Do you get raises or refreshers?
I see StubHub has 2.8 stars on Blind. Itβs lower than Amazon
Yeah, they've def had a lot of turmoil + layoffs over the years, especially with covid. But, I'm hoping we're on the tail end of covid and things will go up. Recruiter mentioned a pretty high salary so I'm wondering what others who work there get and if they've been getting regular raises. I want to leave google so I'm looking at all companies who can pay 400k+
Dm for vmw, we can probably pay that much
