They didn’t fire him for the video. This has been coming his way for a long time due to his toxic bro culture. They fired him 2 days after the video surfaced (several weeks ago), and needed a CYA reason to let him go.

The CYA is conjecture. The firing 2 days later (Sept 8th) was true. Who gets “hundreds” of HR submissions (according to Bloomberg article) on one video with a squeaky clean reputation? I don’t know directly, but am told his culture rubbed people the wrong way and those “hundreds” of people likely had dirt on him.
