Apple shuttle bus stop in Elk Grove
Hi Apple folks onsite at Cupertino, would you be able to share your experience riding the Apple shuttle bus from Elk Grove? What’s the bus schedule like? How long does one way take with and without traffic? I’m considering moving there but still work for Apple in the future. Currently WFH mostly. Budget is limited <750k. Spouse works in non-tech flexible to move anywhere. TC: 200k Yoe: 4 #tech #apple #applecareer
Bro your quality of life would be gone if you had to travel from Elk Grove to Cupertino 3+ days a week. It's 1 hr 45 without traffic, 2 hr 30 min with traffic. 5 hours everyday of your life wasted sitting on a shuttle bus. Not worth it. Don't do it.
It’s actually your call- look at it this way (the options) and if u have kids. 1. Cheaper house with more space for kids - for 3 very long days. Plus you are working in the bus. Some of that 5 & 8 overlap. 2. Expensive home/ rental with hardly any space- no or little equity for future.

Been there several times. With the same cost, the quality of life is much better. The only downside is far from Bay Area offices.
