Kind of in a similar situation, I'm building alternative data products and want to transition more towards PM roles in tech. Does it make sense to apply to more data oriented companies? Not too sure how to pitch alternative data
Depends on what kind of alt data. If you’re a product manager at one of the large alt data shops like Yipit, Earnest, Similarweb or Thinknum then you can join a fintech firm like Square or Coinbase as a PM. This is not uncommon.
