So I interviewed at Atlassian ~2+ years ago now. I really liked the culture of the company, and the vibe I got from the interview team. After the virtual onsite interview(where I don't think I messed anything up), the recruiter sends me a message 2 days later that my interview feedback was positive but they're waiting for other candidates to close the loop. 2 weeks later, she sends me an email saying I wasn't chosen. I was super sad, in another year's time, would it make sense for me to reach out to the same recruiter and ask if there are other roles? I don't think I bombed any interview, did everything in my control properly - What do you folks think went wrong here? Current TC - 200K #interviews #atlassian #datascience #tech
You dodged a bullet. Celebrate 🙌
was this for data science? did you do all rounds in one virtual onsite?
Yes I had 2 phone screeners before it and had like 4 interviews on my virtual onsite day
You would have gotten laid off if you got hired into DS 2 years ago. Our new hires were the ones laid off.
Bro that's okay. She is not your ex. At most places you can even reapply after 6 months. And that's okay to reapply multiple times and join if you like the company. Just not sure about the work culture so we can wait for other atlassians to comment.
Atlassian is a bottom tier employer now. In DS you don't even get to build a resume, in addition to all the stress and low pay (for big tech). If you don't have any job, go ahead and reach out to the recruiter, but stay away if you have any other option.

I dont think anything went wrong, there was just a better candidate. You can do everything right and still not be the best person for the job. It’s been two plus years. I don’t mean to be unkind but you need to get over it and move on. It’s not even the same company it was two years ago.
