I work as a azure data engineer and would like to get into big tech/ product based companies in future. But I find that these type of companies either use GCP or AWS. Azure is used for insurance or banking customers mostly where they don’t really pay well. I live in Canada if that matters. Will azure pick up in near future? I feel azure databricks is very powerful and has a ton of interesting features. I can’t speak of other cloud providers as I haven’t worked. Wondering why the companies that I want to land at do not use azure.
Databricks is on all 3 clouds. Azure is very popular but regardless if u are strong at one cloud it’s pretty easy to switch over
I would like to know more on how to switch over? Isn’t it hard to clear interview in aws if I haven’t already worked in it? Especially for senior data engineer roles in product based companies? I can Set up test account and learn. Not sure what extent it can help.
There are a lot of folks in market with AWS , so GCP is safer option
