Hey Blind! Looking around at new opportunities casually and was curious if there were any hardware companies to keep in mind that have particularly good work/life balance. Thoughts? 3 yoe / $120k TC / embedded hardware engineer
For sure defense companies have the best wlb. I usually go back into defense every couple years when I need a break from real work.

I think Sandia is as good as it get? All the defense companies have good wlb. Qualcomm is pretty good too but nowhere near these defense companies...
Yup you're absolutely right! Sandia is very good, however I'm looking to industry to get on some different projects than what's available here. What do you like about Qualcomm's wlb?
San Diego culture is more relaxed than norcal. People are generally nice and I never feel the need to work long hours. I am probably working about 40 to 50 hours per day with very little stress.
