Currently driving a 2020 Audi Q5 that has solid highway driver assistance features such as lane centering, automatic cruise control, highway traffic jam assist, and more. My car does a pretty great job at reducing driver fatigue and getting me to my destinations safely, but Iām wondering if thereās better options out there now. Iāve been researching Tesla for their autopilot and FSD abilities, and Hyundai has been another brand Iāve heard has solid autonomous driving features. The Teslas lose points for me because the interior is so spartan, thereās no luxuries or really anything besides the giant center screen. Hyundai has a good warranty to boot but Iām not sure I trust it or like the brand as much as Tesla or Audi. #misc #cars #autopilot #fsd #commute
Get a 2018-2019 model 3. I commute 75 miles a day and it costs next to nothing. 120,000 miles later Iāve paid for only tires and a small amount of electricity.
Corolla . Period!
A 15k RAV4 has all that lane keeping crap
Toyota GR86 manual.

I donāt get the popularity of Hyundai/Kia in recent years. Maybe itās just me, but since when did they make reliable cars? I have never owned one or know anyone who owns one, so Iām curious.
They started offering good warranty till 100k miles, 10 years. Thatās better than anyone else and long enough for most buyers. It also suggests that the company must have changed something on their end to improve reliability if they feel confident enough to offer longer warranty.
Theyāve also modernized their brands and cars a lot. Look at a 2019 Kia Sorrento vs a 2021 vs a 2024. Thereās a huge jump between 2019 and 2021, and more noticeable improvements between 2021 and 2024. I do still struggle with the brand, itās just a Kia/Hyundai after all, but theyāve come a long way in a short time.
Automatic lane centering is good enough. Features more advanced than that donāt improve driver fatigue that much.
2024 Cadillac XT4. The car is insanely impressive. Iāve been a life long GM hater ā Not anymore. Test drive one. You wonāt regret it. The GM cruise works well enough. Itās no FSD, but that crap costs $12k and isnāt remotely worth it.
Commuter car - phev or regular hybrid from Toyota.
Tesla isnāt bad but autopilot is overhyped, too jerky and unconfident
Tesla autopilot with FSD for the win. Yes itās like a Corolla in there but youāre going to be less fatigued
