Went through a full loop for the software engineer new grad role at Bloomberg, passed the phone screen and onsite coding round and solved all of them optimally which then went to a round with someone from HR. The HR round was purely behavioral which I was honest and answered to my best ability, and I also mentioned that I have two other interviews coming up soon. Later, recruiter scheduled the final round with a senior engineer, which i thought it was odd because all of the final round I've seen on glassdoor were with a hiring manager. Anyway, the final round was an easy problem and I cleared that in less than 20 mins with different approaches, and I asked a few questions and the interview ended 20 mins early. Just got a reject email after 2 workdays, and I am genuinely confused as what resulted in such quick rejection. The email also mentioned the cooldown period is 6 months, can someone from Bloomberg help to explain if this is a common process? or what might went wrong? #bloomberg
what do you mean by honest?
Might've seen it as a lack of interest if you ended the last round 20 mins early. I would've just kept asking questions
Maybe it wasn’t really final round and there wasn’t a cultural fit. Maybe you got the right answer but not in the way they prefer (thinking process).
Bloomberg’s interviewing process is cancer. You could bomb one question for onsite but still get moved to HR only to get rejected after. Idk if they’re using candidates to train their HR employees
Was your last interview on Thursday? I also had the senior manager round on Thursday but haven’t got response yet
It’s probably culture fit. Bloomberg coding interviews aren’t particularly difficult so you’re expected to pass those. It’s most likely your answers to the behavioral questions. Maybe you weren’t enthusiastic enough. Just learn from this and move on.

I have my final interview with senior engineer this week. Can you share more details about your interview with senior engineer? What did you guys discuss about?
Hi, how was that round? I have my final round coming up, the HR told it's a non technical round with a recruiter and an Eng Manager.
How’d it go?
Did you not connect with the interviewer at all? Surprised it left off with 20 mins. Maybe you didn’t show enthusiasm
