Bloomberg software infrastructure

How is Bloomberg SI? What kind of interesting work do they do? What kind of boring work do they do? Are there good exit opportunities after working in SI for a few years? To give some context I am joining as a new grad (bloomberg that is, team is yet to be decided). Distributed systems, parallel programming, latency sensitive systems are things that interest me much more than stuff on the product side. I think I’d enjoy writing C++ given my experience with C (my impression is that it can be quite painful but very rewarding, it is nice to have so much control). #bloomberg #tech
