About to join UBS at Director level, havent gotten a concrete answer about bonus structure at all. What are the bonuses like at ubs? Anyone can share the lower/higher percentage for the last few yrs as well? TC - 160k Edit Location Weehawken New Base Salary - $198k Bonus % written as discretionary #ubs #tech
Which location and what kind of role?
Non technical role, agile coach, Weehawken
Variable, but probably around 20% The higher ups ED and MD will have a pool of cash to distribute.
Yeah wanted to know how much is that variable...standard is upper band is 20% . havnt come across anyone saying they got that :)
Depends on the org chart, which organization will you be in? If it’s cost center and not profit center you can expect between 5-10k at least on the IB side, WMA side cost center 15-20k. I would not depend on the bonus at all, it’s basically non existent. My TC is 140k, bonus never been over 4k.
so all the 20% and all is bull.. barely 3-5% then!
Bonus largely Depends on what group you will be with as it’s quite individualized
They pay terribly. Best advice i can give after 8 years being there is to look for another job ASAP
Well if you are not in revenue generating team, you won’t get a decent salary
@OP what group/LOB are you joining? I think that is what heavily depends on bonus potential.
@OP : Can you or someone tell me how much time it takes to hear back after the interview? I have given two rounds 1 technical design and 2 nd leadership for Chapter lead role. It’s been a week still waiting to hear back. Both interviews were positive
for New York ?
New york/Weehawken
You're a director with 160k TC? (Real question, not trolling)
OP still at Genpact… and i guess he didnt share the offer which he is getting at UBs.. 😀
That's legit TC. At UBS Director = manager, just like at Goldman VP = IC. Google comparison UBS Executive Director= Google Director, but need to be Managing Director to make Google Director pay.
