I had an offer from Tableau but decided to join Amazon three months back. Now after Tableau's acquisition and having worked at Amazon, I have been hitting my head for not joining Tableau. Is it at all possible to ask the Tableau recruiter to give the original offer which I had at that time ? Tc : 280k
People don’t listen when we say Amazon is Toxic save your a$$
You can ask anything you want. What they'll answer is up to them.
No harm doing that. If the position is still open amd you have not burned any bridge, there won't be any reason for them not to do so.
But given the stock price has appreciated, will they still give me the offer. Their original offer was in terms of number of RSUs.
Unlikely since they stop offering RSUs and give an amount instead
Just ask. If they're still hiring, they would extend same offer to you instead of interviewing someone new.
Op, what was tableau offer?
C'mon where's your sense of ownership?
I do care about my sense of ownership but it seems like I have to figure out everything on my own, all while accounting for every hour of work done Because of these LPs, it looks like the environment has become non-collaborative where people don't tend to help you. Early on is the time when you need help ramping up. I wonder if this is what people call toxic work culture.
