Why the heck post those make-up stories, unrealistic ideas, cringe as fuck. It is even worse than Facebook now.#CringeLinkedInPosts #linkedin LinkedIn teams, can you improve your algorithm to show less cringe posts in my feed? Each time I saw someone share this sheet I have to unfollow him/her.
I can't help but notice some of the most banal complaints come from posters with poor English writing. Message your friends about this stuff, complaining about LinkedIn is just dumb.
Unfollowing is the right strategy. LinkedIn is a platform, not responsible for the content created by the people you've added
I don’t have these issues with LinkedIn. It’s definitely a product of who you’re linked to/following.
What is the average age of you and your peers?
Prob late 30’s and up. A few mid 20’s sprinkled in.
There is an organically unorganized movement in the industry where you no longer are just a number, you bring your personality to your workplace, no more two face Likely late millennial and early gen Z If you don't like it you probably are the kind of person that could create a hostile environment But yes some people are very cringe
Bring your personality, but only if we approve it. If we don't approve your personality, we are going to come after you by labeling you "hostile". #cringe
Haven't they already tested your googleyness or leadership principles when you passed your interviews? Or did you not bring your authentic self to your interview?
Now a cringe-detecting algorithm is a million dollar idea.
+1. I only like very business things related to web3 and I keep having some random post about Becky and her cat, or some completely unrelated boomer stuff. Its unbearable.
I think the LinkedIn updates themselves are more bs than these
LinkedIn is actively selling the bringing authentic self to their website thing. I cringe hearing their ad on podcasts. I used to scroll through LinkedIn a lot to learn about new tech launches, coming conferences and stuff now it's becoming another FB. I don't want to unfriend all my recruiter contacts just to clean my feed though. Lol.
Why not? I unfriend recruiters between job searches. It’s the best way to keep a decent feed. You can easily start adding recruiters back when the time is right. Heck, most of them job hop more frequently than tech workers anyway.
Yeah exactly. What if the recruiter contact at lowly companies hop to my target companies and remember me 😀
