Mom has cancer and has a few months to live. She would love to go to Disneyland with me and my son and wife. She almost died last week but I prayed to have one more day with her and miraculously she got better but she is still very sick. đ Set up a go fund me but no much luck. Been trying to get finances in order and trying to get out of debt and save more money. When she passes she wonât have any money so I will need to pay for the funeral costs. Should I go into about $2k I debt to fund the vacation? I keep going back and forth. Heart is telling me to do it, mind is telling me to go to a movie and call it good. #cancersucks #noregrets #consumerdebtisbad

If you have the means to make it happen and you donât do it I think you may regret it for a long time. I paid for my family to go visit my dying grandfather and yet I stayed home and worked and I regret not seeing him off very much. Every few months I think about how I chose myself and my business over a family member that was so kind and good to me my entire life. Itâs a painful thought. Frankly $2,000 in debt should be very manageable and for a mothers dying wish Iâd say make it happen.

Lost my mom to cancer 6 years ago. Still think about her every day. Definitely take the debt on to be able to spend that time with her.

Please do it. You will both have that memory and it will mean a lot more to you for a lifetime versus paying off some stupid debt. Thatâs a short term matter. Lastly, my heart really goes out to you. My mother is bedridden at the moment and it makes time like this all the more tough. I wish you and your family the best.
