What happens when most of your team is Indian?
Considering an offer with Canva in Sydney, I suppose the company is overvalued currently with its latest valuation at 40B but that could be said for most private unicorns after last year's insane funding rounds. What do you consider the potential to be long term though let's say after IPO? Would it be something similar to Atlassian which has a market cap of 67B?
What’s the offer like? What’s the split between base and equity?
not OP but got a B2 (SDE-2) offer with 145k base and 110k stock. feel like the equity is a bit low considering its also pre-ipo.
How many yoe?
At a 40B valuation, it's a 40x yearly revenue multiplier. That's high, but not out of this world, even before what happened with the markets after COVID hit. So far the company has always been profitable and it has more than doubled its revenue every year for the past 8 years (ok, in one of those years it was 2M short of doubling the previous year revenue). Will it continue that path? I don't know, but it doesn't sound crazy to me that it will happen at least two more times.
Didn't you say you were black in a different post? How do you know what their revenue was for the past 8 years?
It needs to be the next Adobe for you to get any meaningful return.
