Interviewing for Dir/Sr Dir SWE positions in Capital one. Any insights on salary - base, sign on bonus, stocks. Also potential yearly refresh? #capitalone
Is Capitalone still hiring?
Seniors and above I've heard.
Yes we are, there are some BUs have a pause though.
Yoe?
Swe Director mid range base is just about $250k for remote location, hcol will be $300k. Bonus and rsu will range from about another $100k to $200k combined annually based on performance rating. Sr Dir can generally tack on $100k or so more in total comp.
Thanks.. clearly tech companies are paying a lot more than banks
Director at Cap1 is probably closer to high L6 to low L7 at say Amazon in terms of scope. So while yes you'll make more in terms of total at a pure tech company as a Director, when compared to a closer level it's not that big of a difference.
Ofcourse tech companies pay more. If you can crack the interview at tech companies, better join tech companies

Base only
