First thing I do when I get a new car is tear out all stereo equipment and replace so doesn't matter what junk the manufacturer puts in
I spent $400+ installing a Pioneer system in used car a bought last year (2010 car) that’s CarPlay/AndroidAuto capable just because you already have the audio system space in the dashboard, and you don’t need to attach your phone somewhere weird in your car every time you want to use navigation. Plus, integration of pandora and amazon music, etc. Is pretty nice as well.
I just got a Subaru with both of them, and they are both are barely functional with lots of hangs, and failure to start. Carplay and Android auto seem like alpha level products.
They work nicely in my pioneer system. Maybe Subaru’s equipment is at fault here
I never use it. Phone on cradle works fine.
My Civic hatch has both. I bought it for the turbo injected engine and hackability and not for getting maps or phone calls on my dash. TLDR - doesn’t matter for good cars
You will literally never use it.
Why ? Everytime I use my phone to navigate, I wish my car has android auto & car play.
Use it every day. Couldn’t live without it.
