Changing teams in same company while i140 still pending?

Can you switch teams/manager if the general role is same (generic full-stack SSE to similar SSE role), while your first i140 is still pending? Current perm processing times show that it's taking 1 year as of now, to get approved i140. I know changing jobs will definitely need the whole process to start again (2+ years). So if I change any team internally, would the process still need to restart? I would still be at the same company, performing the same job description (there's not much difference between my team and the teams I am looking at, just different products). Thanks!
