I am a contractor at citi nyc and they are converting me to full time employee. I applied for the position they asked me to apply. It has salary range 105k to 158k for an intermediate project manager. May I know how much I should ask? Currently as a contractor I am earning 130k. Please help!
They like you if they are buying your contract out. How well do you feel you perform the job? If they give you $130k base you'll make out way better with the benefits (I am assuming). I would shoot higher assuming you won't get a raise for a while. Ask for $140k and go from there?
Nothing less than 130 base. Your increase would be in benefits and bonus potential. Start at 140
At least 30% more, if you want to catch up with inflation.
Ask for 150k+ some joining bonus
What could be the bonus for example?
10 percent of the base.. or 20 percent guaranteed bonus for the first year..

Currently you are getting $130k from tcs? If yes then for VP (C12) you should ask more than $160k as you will not get stocks etc in banks
Can I ask 150k for AVP position C12? And I can also say I am little negotiable. Please suggest
You are getting converted into which unit? Will it be same project? Your SVP will have idea about salary range also so you discuss with him/her and i know sometime salaries can be changed by hiring managers based on negotiation
Ask for 160k
