https://coda.io/@coinbase-talent/coinbase-talent-hub/engineering-6 I wonder if their previous employers would be surprised to see some names of people who did not give notice yet. Or there is the more diabolical scenario: perhaps someone unrelated to the coinbase is added to the list by haters so their managers will see it and think that this person attempted to leave for coinbase. #coinbae #rescind #offer
+1 on your first point. WTF is the reasoning behind this? @coinbase folks, any insights?
Probably an attempt at damage control. They might think that people will be like “wow atleast coinbase is taking responsibility and making their best effort to help those people they didn’t hire! Go coinbase!”
It’s crazy how this outrage machine now can cause a MULTIBILLION dollar company to do something so silly as this
F… Coinbase … I have 0 trust in them. I am not rescinded btw but their incapability of trying to x10 their headcount, failing and cutting the ticket to new hires is a disgrace!
Are they submitted by the candidates (knowing it will be published) ?
This is kinda funny if it’s the idea of some braindead HR tool to try to do some damage control.
Maybe random people are seeking attention on LinkedIn even though they didn’t get any offer rescinded by Coinbase! Still, it is very moronic of Coinbase to publish this
The names are voluntarily added by the people who got screwed over, not sure why it’s so difficult to understand. Uber or Lyft had something similar when they laid a bunch of people off
How stupid are people in this thread to not realize that candidates added themselves to this list and it is 100% optional…
Fucking shithole of a PR damage control. This is so wrong to publish the names! Their Chief Clown(people) Officer proudly made a post on LinkedIn about this “talent pool” like he’s doing a favor to humanity by feeling sorry. Never going to work at this place. I’m glad I didn’t move ahead with the Karat interviews here!
Employment legal wouldn't have approved the list going out without permission
Well it says on the main page: Sign-in to Coda to add yourself to the list or update/edit your info (don’t worry, it’s free!) * Candidates: Scroll down to add yourself to the list (works best on a desktop). * Recruiters: Go ahead and make a copy of this doc (by clicking the Copy doc link at the top right of this page ↗), then head to theSourcing tool page to manage your sourcing list.

What’s their reasoning for publishing this? Seems completely unnecessary
It did help with a ton of people reaching out to me, especially asi didn't have a brand faang on my resume
Nice. Glad that helps you. Good luck!
