Considering a move to Twitter. Hows the commute on the Twitter shuttle? how long does it take?
Rent a room at SF?
Lol room
Just for work days, or even living room would do LOL
1.5 hours. We are encouraging more wfh and Sunnyvale office though.
One way. So total 3 hours per day every day (Or at least 4 days per week - its mind boggling. I did that for almost a year at a different company so what stonedBiz says if true, set that expectation with team right off the bat)
That's crazy, in just 2 days of going to work you could've driven all the way to LA.
I am doing it for almost 5 months. It is not worth it. It takes 3 hours for me door to door. People say you can work from cal train but coding is very hard when train keeps shaking.
Yeah .... thats what i am thinking! I have a young child so that’s a big factor as well! I have a good feel about the team and the work so finding it very hard to decide.
Twitter opening SJ office in next year or two.
Oh nice... thats good to know!!
The shuttle has very few stops, just a warning.
Yeah ... i’ll have to start from home atleast 15-20 mins before shuttle stop in Cupertino. And then another 1.5 to 2 hrs ride to Twitter SF. Same thing in evening. :-(
I’d negotiate working from Sunnyvale at least 3 days a week. That commute ain’t worth it. We are alright to work for but not worth that.
OP, do you have any other offer?
Couple of more interviews scheduled this week!
I would say do that.
South Bay LA? like 5-6 hours one way.
South SF Bay.... cupertino
