Hello, I am offered a part time WFH job as a quant platform developer for a startup quant hedge fund. The role is mainly on the infrastructure operations with some opportunity to get into research. Have a Core Engineering Phd from top Ivy League. Only internship experience in this field. What is the market compensation for such a role? I am being asked for my expected salary. What will you do?

I only ever hear of offshore in India
That’s cheap offshore, when the client is Indian too. There’s a lot of high quality offshore in Latin America and it’s in our time zone
