Looking at you every tech startup still alive...
Salary data is also useless and outdated
My company asked various engineers to leave GlassDoor reviews during the 1:1. Can’t be bothered to do the needful without a TC bump.
Also if you're part of a small company, they may try to sue you for libel if they think you made a review, even neutral.
Glassdoor makes us sign up for their useless data anyway. Wish someone made an open one
“Well-known names with large spikes included messaging-app developer Slack Technologies Inc., professional-networking site LinkedIn, health insurer Anthem Inc., household-products maker Clorox Co. and Jack Daniel’s maker Brown-Forman Corp.” Would be interesting to see who else made the list.
Facts.
Snapchat did this rampantly in 2015/16
Our head of Comms demanded that everyone on his team go on Glassdoor and write positive reviews after a wave of negative reviews hit the site. Many were taken down because the algorithm must have determined they were fake but a few are still there.
