Companies that requires a Project during interview?

Hello group! I was interested in transitioning into tech and for two interviews and one I’m considering applying to have project requirements for marketing functions. This is always a bit of a red flag to me and makes me question if the company doesn’t have a quality/properly vetting interview process so they ask for free work. Two were for mobile apps, one is an SaaS that I’m considering. Idk specifically about the brand marketing or product marketing thing but in general many non tech roles within strategy/data analytics require a take home project during the interview. There's a post about this somewhere else from like two days ago. It isn't a red flag, just don't commit to doing it if you're not genuinely interested in the role.

Have asked for candidates to do a very short take home. Pretty normal for writing roles in my experience.

DoorDash asked me to do one said no lol. Both sf and Adobe did as well but it was a super simple one so I did both

Most have “assignments” so youll have to decide where you stand on that

Figma required a “case study” I think they called it. I spent days on it, and then got zero feedback on if it was what they wanted or not.

See, that’s the very annoying and highly inconsiderate.
