Companies with highest user:engineer ratio?

im trying to find startups ( or established companies ) serving the maximum amount of users with the lowest amount of engineers. Places where you could have an incredibly outsized impact. I remember there was a point in time where for every engineer at Facebook there where 2? million users.

Not startups but probably Google or FB or Microsoft

Still? Maybe I should restrict this to a valuation range or financing raised then...

Before FB acquired Insta, it had around 1B users with 5-6 engineers.

It sounds really hard to believe

I don't remember exact numbers, but you can look it up. They had like 12 employees when they got acquired and only half of them were engineers.

Craigslist ?

Craigslist. <50 employees total (not just engineers) with several billion users, none of the corporate dark pattern junk that most companies force onto their users, and apparently reasonable pay/benefits/office environment, too. https://sfbay.craigslist.org/sfc/sof/d/javascript-developer-at/6576102796.html

Had a friend that worked there for many years, he said it was very hard to do anything interesting at all.
