Did they show you 9-10b valuation based on the most recent price or are you giving an estimate.
Recent price, Confluent just went through an internal valuation round. Do they not share this information with the rest of the company?
Do you think these numbers have missed the rocket boarding? Itās basically doubled in this valuation compared to last month I believe.

Whats the current strike price internally for this 9B valuation? Has anytime before any dilution happens from employees? What is expected IPO price? Are you joining as staff 1? Whats the comp diff between Staff 1 and 2?

These days 10B is peanuts. It will at least double in two years. Inflation will ensure such doubling if not company performance. FB won't double its market cap in two years.
Looking ahead to the future, even though it's not guaranteed. Let's say the value triples directly with no dilution. 200 + 550/4*3 = 575 TC. That only seems like a marginal increase from 510 first year at FB with more risk (even though they've already filed S-1). This is great if I stay in a lower cost of living area, though. Currently not in Bay Area, mid-cost of living area.
There is no other company like Facebook when it comes to performance expectations. We are better than Amazon only because we clearly state our expectations, while Amazon is a political beast. Knowing the expectations helps you keep your eyes on the ball. But need to realise that you have to keep 4 balls going at the same time every half all through your career here. It can be exhausting in the first two years. Becomes easy afterwards. But be warned. Facebook is different. Not everyone is made for the FB life.
