Indians are minority of population in the US, have struggled a lot and trying to come up. The quota based on country cap is discriminatory and should be challenged in court?
How is it discrimination when every country gets a equal share of EB based GCs.
OP thinks it’s only fair if it doesn’t impact them and their family
OP thinks it’s only unfair if it impacts their family
All I hear on Blind is how great India is so why are so many Indians moving to the US anyway?
Why not move from one great country to another and have the best of both?
^ what a dumb fucking answer
Basic maths would make you realize that if there wasn't a per country quota, then asian countries would dominate applications and all other citizen from other countries would have zero chance.
Do you support affirmative action in colleges? So in your opinion, other countries can’t compete with Asians. Do you wonder why?Point of this category of visa is to get the high skilled labor, it is not a diversity visa that requires equal people from every country.
so do companies stop hiring white people for diversity? they just provide equity to equip people to enter their industry in terms of studying actively looking for poc for giving a chance to internet. people are still judged on same qualifications in the interview and no one is rejected for a cahance to interview due to them being from a race that is dominating the industry. diversity is not a bad thing just doesn’t apply to everything without context
Sounds like a lot of entitlement
Sounds like youre a citizen so you should probably stfu
“My country is entitled to a larger slice than other countries because I said so” Yep entitlement
Most of congress agrees with you OP. There are bills to fix this discrimination and it will eventually pass and make things right. It takes a while and don’t let the trolls get to you. People used to defend slavery as a right for a long time and there was a war for keeping it going. Women were never given right to vote and people were against it. Similarly civil rights act. It all takes time to pass. Eventually it will happen
Not again Please go back to the previous post and comment there.
People on visa are guests. Nobody has the right to be a guest.
ok but only indians are kept on visas everyone else gets to immigrate. And some visa's are dual intent you get to have immigrant intent. how do you think people from rest of the world immigrate in employment skilled immigration? If immigration is not wanted of course get rid of it. But when its wanted needed why only essentially exclude indians who are as qualified as anyone else from rest of the world.
i understand people don’t want to lose their advantage since they know usa has not updated their immigration policies in decades. but why do they pretend it’s a fair system in employment immigration. something isn’t fair just because it benefits you or is smooth for you at the expense of someone else. I don’t think anything is going to change but leaving out all the logical debates there seems to be lot of hate towards indian employment immigrants it’s just sad on a human level.
That would not solve gc problem at all. Eb1 abuse is root cause

Nope. Smart thing is to make money and move on. Strict immigration makes you valuable here. Competition is not good this is why we left India, remember? Keep your head down and keep minting money. FYI: I am Indian on H1B.
Yeah nah, just gimme a gc. Once youve got that, i dont care about competition cause that wouldnt matter anymore. You’re open to any job in the US
If you need to solve problem for yourself then just pursue EB5 or explore loopholes for EB1. Feeling entitled to GC is exactly what breeds complacency.
