I am not a software engineer or technology background, but a Materials Engineering background from Georgia Tech with an MBA in Supply Chain Management. I work in the Procurement / Sourcing department. I have been interviewing for Procurement positions at Facebook, Microsoft, Lyft, Palantir, DocuSign, Twilio & Splunk etc. A little bit about me. I was part of the Strategic Supplier Management Office (SSMO) at InterContinental Hotels Group (IHG) managing Tier 1 strategic supplier relationships with AT&T, Oracle, IBM, HCL Technologies etc. These were suppliers where we spent > $50M annually. Negotiated SOWs and MSAs with them and developed performance management scorecards and ran quarterly business reviews with IT and these suppliers. Facilitated high level exec meetings, developed risk assessment. Ran RFPs and RFIs with contact / call center vendors like Teleperformance, Alorica etc Also did a lot of smaller deals with companies like Rizepoint, DocuSign, Conga. Participation agreements with Comcast, Dish, Charter Spectrum, Century Link In my previous company, I worked in a consulting role managing MRO / Packaging categories for 50+ private equity owned companies. Generated over $15M+ in hard $ savings for all these client companies through should-cost analysis, supply base consolidation & SKU rationalization. Grew the Packaging division from $3M in spend under management to $30M+ in under 3 years. Our day-to-day looked somewhat like this: client presentations presenting the program, gathering business requirements, doing detailed spend analysis, building sourcing strategy, executing sourcing strategy, negotiating with suppliers, orchestrating win-win deals for both clients and suppliers, negotiating contracts, looking for year-over-year savings opportunities through value improvement audits, vendor managed inventory programs etc. I was traveling twice a month in this job meeting with different clients on-site. Prior to this, my MBA internship was with a large biopharma company where I implemented their supplier relationship management (SRM) program and also did spend analysis on their labeling and packaging category. I presented to the Chief Procurement Officer at the end of the internship and it was very well taken. I have letters of recommendation on my LinkedIn profile that I could share with you via DM.
