Last quarter the internal buyback price was $29 but some commenters mentioned it's worth joining after Jan 15 when there's a new price. Can any Cruise folks comment on what the revised price is?
The buyback is only valid for 2023 I believe? Or is it also valid in 2024 and beyond?
I think it might be confidential so I won't share the exact value but it's only a difference of a percent or 2 from last quarter.
Is there transparency into how the valuation is determined? Are employees happy with the valuation?
No transparency on the valuation that I have seen/heard of. Employees are just told "independent third party determines value". Any further details are pretty fuzzy, to me at least.
Any updates on any recent cruise stock price change after June 30 quarter? I have an offer from last month but joining date in July end. So, wanted to find out if there is a substantial change in cruise stock price.
Current estimated price is 23.56, up from 23.23 last quarter. This estimate will be finalized by 7/14 and may change slightly until then
I interviewed at Cruise a few years ago after they had already been acquired, I was told my stock would vest based on the company reaching milestones like launching a self driving ride sharing service. How do Cruise stocks work now?
They having a stock buyback program where GM buys stock at a set rate once per quarter (https://getcruise.com/news/blog/2022/a-new-kind-of-equity-program/). This means the "paper money" side of your comp is actually liquid (albeit once per quarter at a preset rate).
