Cuban immigrant: democratic party == communists

I have been addicted to reading and watching the testimonials for weeks now. It is so amazingly refreshing to see that all is not lost and that the country where I found my freedom is finally waking up and walking away. When I was little back in Cuba there was a lot of freedoms we didn't have. The government banned many things including the freedom to speak and protest agaisnt the government, the freedom to listen to certain music, (yes that's right ), the freedom to own a fire arm, the freedom to go to church. We were not allowed to eat red meat for a while and lobster was also banned. Whatever my dad could get his hands on contraband is what we would eat obviously and if it happened to be lobster, then I remember the house had to be closed up; to hide the smell from the neighborhood gestapo; the shells crushed and minced and doubled bag only to be disposed at a later time perhaps 3 am in some undisclosed location as if you were getting rid of a dead body. Gum was also banned for a while as gum was associated with being a product deriving from Capitalist and Imperialist America and somehow would be a perversion to the kids. I know you might be saying to yourself, why is she going on and on about hiding lobster shells and is because that is what I escaped. I escaped communism, I escaped being forever bound to not speaking in public what I felt or what I beleive about my government, I escaped having a choice in what I could eat that night, I escaped having a choice on whether or not I could go to church. And yes when I was in the 6th grade I was called into the principals office of my school and threathend to be expelled from school because one of the teachers had seen me going into the catholic church on Sunday. This is what happens when extremist leftist are in power. Could any of you imagine having your 10 year old threatened without a parent present by another adult with no consequenses? That is life in many other countries, countries which the left and the news often portrays as being better than this one. Pleasesssse And I didn't realize the magnitude of the gift that life had given me by allowing me the opportunity to come to this country and to be free right away. I certainly did not realize it at 13 years old. At 13 years old I was working on the weekends cleaning houses with my mom and mowing lawns with my dad, always looking over my shoulder to make sure that other kids from school didn't see me so I would be ashamed that I was doing that kind of work at 13. During the summer I worked at a factory and got paid under the table $10 to $20 a day, yep in this country and we didn't complaint. All I wanted was a pair of Nike's like everyone else and I could not bring myself to buy them because I would hear my parents arguing about money and I would always come home and give them what I made. We were spondored to come so we did not get any help, no foodstamps, no cash, nothing. I remember being in High School wanting a bag of cheetos and not buying it because I thougt the extra 25 cents could be needed at my house better and I should just eat the free and pretty nasty school lunch. See I made those choices and I was never angree, I never felt ashamed at times like any other kid of that age. I wanted Macy's clothes not Walmart ones, but you know what I always had a roof over my head, I always had clothing, I always had food, I always had health insurance, my dad helped me to get a car when I turned 16 we lived in a good neighborhood and eventually we made it. Through my college years when I wanted to be a doctor I had some liberal thoughts you could say as any young dreamer. I thought universal healthcare was a must. Truth be told I had 0 knowledge about economy. I always voted republicans becasue my parents alwasy told me that democrats were communist and thats all I had to know. I remember saying I voted for Bush in college and being almost lynched and I didn't know what was going on with my friends or why they were attacking me. So I guess that was the first time I started looking into politics. I voted for Bush a second time and this time I was sure that I was a Republican or a Fiscal Conservatice but Socially Liberal as I liked to call my self which sounded more palatable for most people. But then came Obama and I guess you can call this my awakening moment on to who and what the democratic party was. I listen to an Obama Mccain Debate and somehow I was trasported to my childhood as if I was sitting in my classroom in elementary school force to listen to one of the Comandante speeches. And it dawned on me he was very subliminaly speaking of the things I had already lived through. He spoke about free college but create programs in which the youth can work to or give back or go to the army in order to pay for those programs. OMG. We had that in Cuba, sure we have free education but we had student labor camps as early as age 12 you had to go for like a couple of months to work the fieds. Boys at age 15 were forced to go into the army and sometimes sent to foreing countries to fight other peoples war. They gave you free stuff but then they made you repay it with your work or your life so how was it free? I understood then to run from anyone that ever promises you anything for free. I also find issue with being called a minority as if I am somehow lacking something or need special treatment. No I have alwasy busted my ass, I am smart, a hard worker and a tough cookie and no goverment or politician is going to take my accomplishments away from me or tell me that I am less capable because of my ethincity or because I am a woman because that in itself is racist and sexist. But during the Obama Years something interesting happened I started seeing people being censored and I started feeling as I had back in the days as a kid where I couldn't speak my mind. However I think this is to some extend different and even more sickening because at least in Cuba, I could blame dictator Castro, he was the evil one who stripped us of our freedoms. All fellow Cubans shared the same hunger, the same fear, the same desire for freedom. But here, the democratic party had somehow turned half the coutry into gestapo like agents going after fellow citizens for speaking their minds. I mean the icing on the cake for me was during the Black Lives Matters Movement when people were being forced to apologize for saying that "all lives mattered". I mean is there anything more inclusive than that? I had a couple of dear friends on Facebook post something that went like this .."if anyone else tells me this week that "all lives matter" I swear I am going to loose it" I was in awe. This seemed discusting to me and I honestly felt scared, because maybe for most of you that only know this country and only know freedom you take it for granted but for us who have seen the other side, who have seen what it is to live under tyrany, America is our dream our last resort, our one and only path, our future. If America falls to socialist and communist then where are we to go? I am so tired of the media manipulating everything, turning groups against each other, pitting black against whites, straights against gays, women against men, Please wake up and see that this is Marxist and Radical theory 101 to make you hate another group and gain control. I am tired of the liberal media portrraying immigrants as ungrateful bastards burning american flags, when truth be told the vast majority of us feel very American. I love this country more so than the one where I was born . The country I was born in castrated my freedoms and America saved me and thank god that Trump saved America from the democrats and please keep walking away , run like hell from those evil crazy people. The Republican party has a place for everyone and at least you are free to speak, you are applauded for your accomplishments, you are not told you have to do this because you are a woman or because you are gay or becasue you are black or whatever. Work hard, bust your ass, be successfull and don't accept anything for free because trust me somewhere somehow you will be charged for it . Work for it and buy it. #Walkaway.. PS.. Oh and as for the Russian bot thing. The only people taking a page out of the Rusian missinformation playbook is the MSM. Accussing us of being Russian bots, accusing Trump of colluding with Russia all to deligitmize this campaign and his presidency. They are the worst Enemy of this coutry right now.. Trump was 100% right so was Malcom X when he said the same thing. They have so much power and they are in controlled by socialist.
