What happens when most of your team is Indian?
What does the work look like at large companies for teams supporting languages (i.e. supporting NodeJS at Netflix). I know part of it is around creating the style guide for that language for company-wide usage, but what else goes into it?
Companies have a universal style guide?
If the company vendors all of its language tooling into its monorepo, language team is constantly working on merging latest public release into the vendor repo and making sure it doesn’t break anyones builds. Additionally I see the typescript support team deciding how to expose new language features to end users. Also have to maintain all of the build/test/deploy specific infra for that language. I’m sure it varies a lot depending on things like if the company has a monorepo, if the company vendors all of its third party deps, probably other stuff.
