Currently unemployed and on OPT. Best way to find a consultancy that stops my OPT timer
I was let go from my company some time back. Since I am on OPT, i can only be unemployed for 90 days. I've been in interviews with some companies, but overall it might take another month or more for me to start a new job. How can I stop my OPT time in that period.??
Yes. Yes I'm interviewing with multiple companies right now. But some companies like Google can take upto 8 weeks before I can join. This would all be counted towards my unemployment days
Volunteer for a charity or helping a startup would also counts btw

Consultancies are a double edged sword, I would be careful.
Why is that? Surely they are far from ideal. But it helps to stop the OPT counter, I would take that.
H1B rejection rate has shot up significantly for consultancies since apr 2017
For the first 12 month OPT, volunteering works.
