Is "From the River to the Sea" So Wrong?
Bay Area expats who sold their homes and moved here are often blamed.
I could sell my SFH in the Bay which is only about 50% paid off and use the equity to buy that 800k house in Dallas with cash… but then I’d have to live in Dallas 🤣
You also have to keep paying high property taxes instead of paying mortgage interest in bay
Lots of finance jobs in Dallas. Small business owners and commercial realestate too. Not necessarily tech job. Not saying there aren’t tech jobs there it’s just not a hub and other industries are more leading
Lawyers, Real estate developers, doctors, investment bankers, private equity… All these can pay 7 figures and sometimes 8 figures
Most of those aren’t living by near UTD though…
Nobody is buying cashdown
do not fall for the agents propaganda Dallas is a hot shithole, with nothing to do save your life
if global temperatures increasing people will soon be moving away from texas
There are 800K+ homes almost everywhere in Dallas now, that being said there are also plenty of options below 500K. Those buying these homes could also have been in Dallas for a while and this is their second home.
Btw for living Dallas is shithole with third world feel, its a dump
k, first post your peanut TC
