Data Science Manager Referral
Hi blind community, I'm looking for DS manager referrals. Currently a DS manager at a small, late stage startup in logistics. Equity is worthless and a lot of turnover and lack of vision/execution in the current company. My team is about 5 people. Previously a DS lead for a team of 4 in the recruitment space. I've have experience in modeling and product analytics, although more in the former. (Went through final loop this year for DS IC roles with Instacart and FB but realized I don't want to work as an IC anymore) I'm looking for opportunities in high-growth startups or established companies in tech- focused space and are serious about investing in data science/analytics teams in terms of career development and long term roadmap. I think I'm more drawn to deciding the how, when, and who aspects of projects instead of drilling down to a few areas of expertise. I feel there are always people who can best me in technical expertise, but I can rally the troop so to speak. I also want to have a bigger say in how priorities and projects are set (instead of doing things that get shelved or interrupted due to changing priorities). I guess the last point might be less common in more stable companies.
