Do Deepmind engineers and researchers travel more frequently between MPK and London offices than other Google members ? I am aware of few folks who are still travelling regularly every 1-2 months between two offices, so just wondering if Google’s recent travel ban applies to Deepmind folks or not ? If not, then does it mean Deepmind is the place to be as Google is clearly accommodating those folks than rest of other orgs ? I’ve got few friends who need to travel but recent travel bans are making it harder for them to collaborate across the pond TC 🥜after stock drop YOE 3
Can you share your interview experience if already done?
I don't understand the full context of your question, but fwiw travel has always been fairly uncommon at DeepMind. The main reason is for collaboration with Google in Mountain View or maybe Zurich. For the majority of DeepMinders who work with local colleagues, there's no particular reason for travel, other than the occasional conference.
Interesting. Looks like my data points from specific people are maybe outliers then. But yeah i know of a friend who is a senior researcher who literally travels between london and MPK like every other month
Were you asking because you get an offer with deepmind or something? Sorry, asking simply because I heard they are interviewing a lot of people right now and wondering if that has anything to do with your question. Nvm if not the case
