I was dating/pursuing this cutesy chick but at the same time I hung out with this hot female friend a lot. It was platonic until.. One night at the friend’s house we drank too much wine and hooked up. After that, the cutesy chick was no longer in picture. That was a great night 👍🏼

What I Wish I Did: Accept that I will always have some attraction to others while I'm in a relationship; not confuse small infatuations and crush fantasies as foretellings of awesome greener grass. What I Did: Dumped my partner. Went for the crush, had the crush, then missed being with my ex who was a better fit for me as it turned out... but don't worry karma is a real thing. I am paying in full.
This is a good thing! It shows that you're still capable of feeling attraction. Just because you got in a relationship, doesn't mean some switch goes off in your head and stops you from fancying other people. It's totally normal and nothing to be ashamed of. Feelings are feelings and feelings don't dictate actions. You'll be ok!

I worded this wrong, thanks for pointing it out! You're not in control of your feelings but you *are* in control of your actions. Feelings *don't have to* dictate your actions, because you control your actions.
