Very impressive! https://www-nytimes-com.cdn.ampproject.org/c/s/www.nytimes.com/2022/08/10/business/disney-earnings-profit.amp.html Disney+ added 14.4 million subscribers in the most recent quarter, about 45 percent more than Wall Street had expected and lifting Disney’s portfolio of streaming services to 221 million subscribers worldwide, edging ahead of Netflix for the first time.
Disney won’t even give me an interview. 🥲
For desis, Disney offers a great offering at $7/month. Disney+ includes Hotstar which has nice Indian shows + regional channels.
Netflix selection is garbage
They are planning to bring back ads for $7 plan and make non ads version will be 10.99… when this new price increase rolls out ..I expect some bleeding in terms of subscriptions
I think most people will just move to ad based one and for that matter they also expect that .

Any Indians Think Kashmir Should be Independent?
Funny because both services really suck…
I think both services have different problems. Netflix UX is amazing but junk content, while Disney has great content, and junk UX. Most streaming platforms are closing the UX gap though, and people are moving to the content of their choice.
Disney does not have great content for adults. Some good Pixar movies, Simpsons, and a handful of Marvel things. Most of MCU and Disney is for little kids.
