Household TC is $600k. We just put all of our savings into index funds with Vanguard. We also own two investment homes we rent out. What would a financial advisor do for us that we can't easily do for ourselves? #
Financial advisors are for the financially illiterate. If you know what an index fund is, you’re above it
Double your networth.
Since your keeping things simple you probably don't need a financial advsisor. If you do end up contacting some try to get one that charges an hourly rate instead of one that takes a percentage of what your investing. A 1% yearly fee is super expensive as you'll end up with 1/3 less money in retirement.
A good one might help you navigate taxes a little more efficiently, but in most cases it's probably not worth it if you know what you're doing already.
What's your net worth your want to invest?
Including real estate, about $2.5M
