Let's say I have 10 months left on OPT, but I'm from a ROW country (about 1.5 years to get an EAD/GC straight from OPT), but with no H1b tries. In this case, will Google or Amazon take me? #google #amazon #opt #immigration #workvisa

Single males, how often do you check your mail?
Companies tend to prefer having options. In your case, you could ask to be hired outside of the US and return here on L1 -> GC. It just takes a little bit longer.
Unlikely. You'd probably need an h1b to file for GC.
Amazon does
There is even no assurance you can get GC in 1.5 years even as ROW. I am from ROW as well and just prevailing wage determination is taking 6 months now. So as others said, the L1 to GC route might be more feasible
Applying directly for a role abroad is your best bet. You will be red flagged if you don’t have a full 12 months of work authorization in the US. That is typically a nonstarter.
For a job in the US?
No, he mentioned H1B because it's required in China.
Thanks jackass. What I meant is that often companies like amazon and google will hire you and then give you the option to a role in Canada or Europe etc. So if op has his heart set on a US role then it might be difficult for the recruiting team to carry on.
