I have been using doordash for food delivery for a long time now(subscription) recently tried ubereats(trial subscription) can clearly say prices in doordash are decently less compared to ubereats. Though i would say ubereats UI atleast the front part of it better, where as doordash is crowded too many things going on, actually i would say both could do much better. And who designed the ubereats payment ui, when you confirm payment, the dreaded tips screen pops up, the thing there’s no indication of how much the $ is going to be, you need to do mental math order * tip% very deceptive if someone forgets or presses the wrong button. Also promotions seems better on doordash but i may be wrong. One thing going for uber is its expanded service area compared to doordash reason why i tried it. Whats your thoughts?#uber #doordash #google #metabank
DD wins just with 12$ free delivery instead of Ubereats 15$
Food delivery apps and quality of service are sucking in US. The cost is high, the tips expectations are crazy, the time of delivery is terrible. I compared with Istanbul, where I could order anything from anywhere around in the single app and this has been delivered quickly without any tips expectations. So I use apps only for pickup, but there I found another problem. The cost of food is often 10-25% higher in doordash or uber than in native app or website for each place.
Cost of labor in the US is high.
This isn’t a correct answer. The delivery apps gets 20% of order by restaurant + their own fee + delivery fee. This amount is times more, than the cost of labor. And finally the delivery guy expects tips for delivery cold food
DD is free with Chase saffire.
Do point of sale system providers have integration with these delivery apps or they provide their own hw/sw stack for the kitchen? Building these apps seems simple, anyone knows how much upkeep to run these systems $$?
Some def have It’s a very saturated market
@RPTwo may be doordash should implement what temu does, the party discount probably helps the restaurant and the drivers(will be picking up a large no:of orders at once)
I somehow get much better deals on Uber eats
